The website has finally had its update….

Or the design and construction forum’s where riders are encouraged to post questions, design suggestions or performance reviews in order to make improvements to the performance of the vehicles. There is one forum each for Shazzam, Vanquish and Pushcarts.

Dont forget to sign up for Sunday trainings over the next 5 weeks and also keep an eye out for more information about our trial ‘race’ in the 2nd week of the holidays (Thurs 4/10).

Meanwhile training will continue on Tuesday lunchtimes along with Thursday after school for HPV teams and Tuesday before school for pushcart teams.


Meeting, Beep Test and Log Book Check

To All 2018 Students,

Our next RACV meeting will be at recess tomorrow (Tuesday 27th). We will discuss fitness results so far, holiday training, Log Book check and the RACV Handbooks. Meeting will be held in Mr Jenkins room.

A back up Beep test will take place on Wednesday lunch time. If you missed the first one you will be expected to participate OR if you would like to have another go for extra fitness you are also welcome to attend.

Also on Wednesday we will do a 2nd log book check. Make sure your log books are in teh tub on Mr Jenkins desk by close of day Wednesday

RACV Handbooks

The 2018 RACV Handbooks are available to view and download. We will have written tests early next term based on the information in these handbooks. These are another important part of the selection process and the information in these handbooks forms the basis of the presentations and scrutineering that takes place at Maryborough. Download them onto your iPad as you may want to start reading them during silent reading time and reading at home.

RACV-PartB_Pushcarts is for those trying our for Pushcarts

We will have a meeting in the next week to give you more details and some hints about some important aspects and for another Log Book check before the holidays. Details to come!!

Crunch Time

Welcome to Crunch Time!

This week is a big week in the RACV journey. A reminder that there are 3 different ‘tests’ taking place this week.

Mon 23 May:    Beep Test at recess in the Gym   (THERE IS NO LUNCH TIME TRAINING)

Wed 25 May:   Written test in Mr Zach & Mrs De Villiers rooms (same test as last time- make sure you’re studying the right things!!!)

Thur 26 May:   30 minute run before school                                                                                              (starts at 8am on the dot!!! warm up with Mr Small at 7:55am)

If students are unable to attend any of these tests it is there responsibility to notify Mr Zach or Mr Jenkins to arrange for an alternative time.

The information to be studied for the written test is all contained in the RACV handbooks which should have already been downloaded or can be accessed via this website on the RACV page.

2016 RACV Handbook

The 2016 Handbook for the RACV Energy Breakthrough Challenge is now on the website. You can download by clicking on the link below or check out the RACV page on the main menu. The Handbook is a crucial study book for students and will provide the information on which the written test is based. It will also be available on the student server at school.
